NOC - Network Operations Engineer - UK Remote NOC Engineer wanted by one of the UK's innovative Next Generation Security Businesses.
Location - Home Working.
Base Salary - £45,000 (experience dependent).
As a Network Operations Engineer, you'll be critical to customer support processes, providing first line and second line support to clients and resolving complex network/systems faults, in addition to implementing customer service requests on a range of networking technologies, including WAN, PON, DWDM, Carrier Ethernet, Firewalls.
Additional requirements include: Experience of IP, OSPF, BGP and MPLS.
Experience of working on GPON & XGSPON access networks.
Good understanding and hands-on experience of working with Carrier Ethernet MEF2.0 & MEF3.0 concepts such as Eline, ELAN, etc.
Good understanding and hands-on experience of working with optical CWDM and DWDM technologies.
Good understanding and hands-on experience of working with optical splitter/combiner filters.
Basic understanding of OTN technology would be an advantage, as would hands-on experience of building and maintaining Dell servers.
Experience working with ITIL methodology and meeting SLAs.
Job specifics: Hours are based on 12-hour shifts: 2 days, 2 nights, 4 days off.
Repeat cycle.
Required at HQ once every 3-4 months.
Travel and accommodation will be paid.
