Night Shift Transport Manager - Tewkesbury Depot - Competitive Salary About the role The main functionality of the role is to manage drivers, vehicles and routes in accordance with the company's KPIs and Legal Compliance.
You will ensure all routes are dispatched and where necessary arrange cover for sickness / overloads and work closely with the Night Operations team to create a unified team ensuring all targets are achieved.
Shift Pattern - 5 nights out of 6, Sunday - Friday with a start time of 10:30pm What you will do: Route Management: Ensure all routes are dispatched and where necessary arrange cover.
Manage route leaving times to meet the company's OTIF targets.
Complete the vehicle sheet which includes department times and driver owner.
Ensure that vehicles are loaded properly.
Administration of the driver app.
Issue tablets and logging the information on the system Update spreadsheets with route details and any other relevant information Team Management: Oversee that all office duties are carried out within the shift inc. logging data and vehicle compliance.
Complete the driver register, ensuring all drivers arrive for shift.
Check Driver's uniforms daily to ensure that they are compliant.
Complete the handover with the Day team and ensure all reports and information is passed over.
Management of the Night Office including printing invoices and assigning routes.
Health and Safety: Enforce all Health and Safety requirements and all compliance and legislation is communicated, understood and adhered to by your team.
Compliance: Complete driving licence checks including weekly spot checks.
Assist with vehicle defects and VOR Ensure that collection weights are within compliance.
Ensure that vehicle routes are compliant.
Ensure that the Manage Process Procedure is followed.
What you will need: HGV Classification is desirable.
Current DQC CPC Qualification is desirable.
Strong analytical skills using KPI Dashboards.
Competent in GPS and route manifests Experience working with paperless deliveries Passionate about training and developing others Organised with a good attention for detail.
