Job Description We are seeking an enthusiastic, warm and friendly professional with a passion for the hospitality industry and ideally a keen interest in history.
Be the first person to welcome our guests into the hotel and be ready to make that unique first impression with confidence Assist guests with their luggage and escort them to their rooms using the original stone, spiral staircases Provide guests with information about our incredible castle and the full hotel services along with any activities that they can book up in the local area Cover the switchboard and be able to make/adjust room and restaurant bookings Run End of Day reports and create any other ad hoc reports as required Assist with food and drink requests during the night Complete security checks of the property including waking around the premises as well as monitoring the security cameras Assist across other departments, helping to set up for the following day, including assisting with some basic cleaning tasks Be an excellent communicator and listener with a creative and positive attitude and the ability to address any of our guests' requirements Qualifications You will hold a full driving license and assist guests with parking their cars Strong IT skills - some experience of Opera Front Office System is desirable Additional Information £11.92 per hour Part-time permanent position 16 hours a week contract with the opportunity to do additional shifts/hours and covering holidays The role is predominantly shifts between the hours of 11pm to 7am An additional share of the service charge every month 28 days holiday including bank holidays - pro rated A paid day off on your birthday Complimentary stay at the Castle after 3 months' probation successfully passed Training programs (internal and via external professionals) and access to online training facilities Staff and family rates on hotel accommodation and discounts on food and beverages Recognition programs Uniform and free parking provided
