Job summary Following the release of ARRS GP funding we are looking for newly qualified (within 2 years to Join Morley and District Primary Care Network on a fixed term salaried contact until 31 March 2025.To be eligible for this role, you must be within two years of certificate of completion of training at the start date of employment and have not previously held a substantive post as a General Practitioner.This is an exciting opportunity for a forward thinking, enthusiastic GP.
Main duties of the job The post-holder will manage a caseload and deal with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards of care for all patients.
They will work as an autonomous practitioner, responsible for the provision of medical services to the practice population, delivering an excellent standard of clinical care whilst complying with the GMS contract.
Furthermore, the post-holder will adhere to the GMC standards for good medical practice, contributing to the effective management of the practice, leading by example, maintaining a positive, collaborative working relationship with the multidisciplinary team.
About us Morley and District PCN has a well-established network made up of 6 GP practices covering a population of 63,000 patients.
It is in a vibrant and busy market town 5 miles outside of Leeds.The role may be working across any site within our PCNWe are rapidly developing our multi-disciplinary workforce, embedding our roles, developing our team that makes a real difference to our patients and our practices.
Job description Job responsibilities You will play a crucial role in the provision of primary healthcare services.
Undertake surgery consultations including face-to-face, digital, online, telephone Delivery of Enhance service appointments and Same day access.
The delivery of highly effective medical care to the entitled population The provision of services commensurate with the primary care contract.
Generic prescribing adhering to local and national guidance.
Effective management of long-term conditions.Processing of administration in a timely manner, including referrals, repeat prescription requests and other associated administrative tasks On a rotational basis, undertake telephone triage and duty doctor roles.
Maintain accurate clinical records in conjunction with good practice, policy and guidanceWorking collaboratively, accepting an equal share of the practice workloadAdhere to best practice recommended through clinical guidelines and the audit processContribute to the successful implementation of continuous improvement and quality initiatives within the practiceAccept delegated responsibility for a specific area (or areas)Attend and contribute effectively to practice meetings as requiredPrepare and complete the revalidation processCommit to self-learning and instil an ethos of continuing professional development across the practice teamReview and adhere to practice protocols and policies at all timesEncourage collaborative working, liaising with all staff regularly, promoting a culture of continuous improvement at all times Person Specification Qualifications Essential Newly qualified GP (within two years)
