Main duties of the job This position requires a qualified and GMC-registered GP work with theteam at St Georges to deliver NHS General Medical Services to our registeredpatients under GMS contract.
The post-holder will have a full contract of employment with StGeorges and be considered a full member of the clinical team.
The post-holderwill be encouraged and supported to continue their professional development.In addition to receiving a competitive salary, the post-holder willhave (pro rata) six weeks paid annual leave, one week paid study leave, dedicatedadmin time, their own consultation room, and indemnity cover with MPS fullypaid by the Practice.A clinical speciality is not required, but professional interest andskills would be supported.

We achieve 100% QOF each year, run a dispensary, andoffer innovative services such as hosting community outreach chemotherapy, andscreening services and day surgery in our theatre suite.
We host secondary careservices from our building wherever we can to support networks andrelationships.One of our two GP Partners isthe Clinical Director of the local Primary Care Network, itself ahighly-regarded andprogressive PCN.We use SystmOne with the Ardens support tool.
We also use the askmyGPpatient online communication software.

Person Specification Additional criteria Essential - Satisfactory Enhanced DBS check.
- Two satisfactory employment references.
- Ability to travel easily in the community when required.

Understanding of evidence-based practice.

Broad knowledge of clinical governance Ability to work within own scope of practice and understanding when to refer to GPs Desirable Knowledge of public health issues in the local area Knowledge of health promotion strategies Qualifications Essential Newly qualified GP (within 2 years and not having had a substantive post) with full GMC registration and license to practice.
