Make your mark for patients We are looking for a New Product Planning (NPP) Lead who is dynamic and innovative, to join our Global NPP team, based in either our Head Office in Brussels, Belgium or our Slough, UK site.
About the role The role of the New Product Planning team at UCB is to bring commercial expertise and unmet need insights into Patient Solutions, contributing to our corporate ambition to deliver a pipeline that set us for sustained and resilient future growth.
As NPP Lead, you will be the "commercial voice" at the Candidate Team Table. Your role will involve bringing deep commercial insights and stakeholders' perspectives into Patient Solutions Candidate teams, supporting the development of future-proofed and commercially attractive Target Product Profiles (TPPs), and determining proof-of-concept studies' success criteria. You will contribute to efforts to provide de-risked assets to Patient Evidence and recommend paths forward in terms of indication choice/sequence and overall asset maximization strategy.
What you'll do · Determine commercial drivers of success for candidates and solve key commercial & stakeholder questions.
· Consolidate stakeholder perspectives and competitor insights into indication selection, TPP(s), and PoC success criteria.
· Support the development of future-proofed and commercially attractive Target Product Profiles (TPPs).
· Ensure teams have "the end in mind" when designing early development strategies
· Build the right interface with relevant experts in Patient Evidence and with the Asset lead, ensuring smooth transition of Candidates to Assets in PE
· Contribute to efforts to define asset maximization strategy, including investment options and initial life cycle strategy.
· Work closely with i2i partners to develop business cases.
· Determine early evidence generation needs and gaps to be addressed.
Interested? For this role you'll need the following education, experience and skills · Bachelor's degree required; Master's or Ph.D. preferred.
· Experience in assessing pipeline assets and developing pre-launch commercial strategies; various possible roles including similar NPP cross-functional role, Global Access & Price, Competitive Intelligence, Strategic Marketing, Insights/Market Research
· Prior commercial experience in Immunology and/or Oncology is a plus
· End to end thinking, connecting science to patient access as end goal
· Strong strategic thinking, planning, and storytelling skills
· Comfortable dealing with conflicts or diverse opinions and able to find a path forward
· Strong partnering and bridging capabilities
· Proven ability to manage and inspire teams.
