Pertemps Daventry are currently recruiting for a New Business Development Manager for one of our established companies covering the East Midlands area of the UK.
We are currently seeking an experienced sales professional to drive our growth in the construction safety market.
The ideal candidate will have strong sales acumen and a deep understanding of client relationship management, with the ability to set and achieve ambitious sales targets.
Our client supplies a vast number of construction safety equipment to leading UK construction firms nationwide, catering to a variety of large-scale projects.

Responsibilities: - Business Development : Cultivate, manage, and maintain relationships with key clients in the construction sector.
Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by addressing client needs promptly and efficiently.
- Sales and Marketing Collaboration : Work closely with marketing and product development teams to ensure that sales strategies align with product availability and company messaging - Database and CRM Management : Oversee and manage the CRM system, ensuring it is used effectively by the sales team to track interactions, analyse sales trends, and maintain strong client relationships.
Maintain an accurate and up-to-date database of customers, ensuring all relevant details are captured.
- Reporting : Prepare and deliver regular sales performance reports to management.
Report on sales activity, customer relationships, and potential new opportunities.
Present findings and recommendations to management.
- Sales Target Management : Set, monitor, and achieve sales targets in coordination with senior management.
- Market Research : Stay informed about industry trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth and adapt sales strategies accordingly.
- Product Knowledge : Develop in-depth knowledge of the companys product line, including new products, and communicate features and benefits effectively to clients.
Requirements: - Experience : We are open to all candidates that can demonstrate transferableskills and the value they can bring to this role, however proven experience (and results) is/are essential for this role.
- Prior direct experience in the construction industry is advantageous but not essential.
- Industry Knowledge : familiarity with the construction industry is beneficial - IT Skills : Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and other office-based IT systems.
Experience with CRM systems is a plus.
- Education : Formal qualification in Business, Sales, or a related field is preferred.
- Communication Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of building relationships with clients and presenting sales strategies to leadership.
Compensation and Rewards: - Performance-Based Incentives: In addition to the base salary, there will be performance-related bonuses linked to meeting and exceeding key targets.
These targets will include metrics such as: o Number of required calls and emails per day o Customer engagement levels o Achievement of sales targets and new business development - Sales Commission: You will also be eligible for additional commission based on the overall performance in driving sales and meeting revenue goals Career Growth: - Significant opportunities for career development and progression based on performance.
- Additional information/requirements: - You must have a UK driving license and must be comfortable driving.
- As part of this role, you will be expected to travel to meetings and events to build and maintain relationships with current and prospective clients.
You will also be expected to attend relevant events, such as conferences, for business development purposes.
- We have customers across the country, so you may be required to travel within England for business development.
- When not travellingfor these purposes, you will be expected to work from our head office in Northampton.
