We are seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to join our team and play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing our network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities: Ensure the security, capability, availability, and performance of our network infrastructure.
Oversee firewall and gateway technologies to maintain secure operations.
Manage incident, configuration, availability, capacity, continuity, and release management activities in line with the ITIL framework.
Provide expert support for network connectivity issues and incidents.
Document and manage application or firmware releases in accordance with best practices.
Monitor network performance and load balancing to ensure optimal service delivery.
Implement resiliency in network design changes to mitigate risks of outages or degraded performance.
Offer specialist information and advice to assist senior colleagues in making significant business decisions.
Adhere to approved change management procedures for network upgrades or changes.
Oversee the performance of third-party suppliers.
Assist the architecture team in formulating strategic direction for the infrastructure estate.
Produce reports and comprehensive working papers, including recommendations for system improvements or amendments.
Liaise closely with the wider infrastructure team to ensure necessary port/routing configurations for applications.
Manage network incidents and service requests efficiently and effectively.
Ensure compliance with all security regulations and policies, working closely with the Security Engineer.
Monitor health and safety issues and address them as appropriate.
Maintain robust checks and controls to protect live operational environments.
Adhere to best practice network security arrangements, ensuring resilience and security.
Optimise the performance of the network infrastructure through intelligent configuration of SDWAN, ACI, and F5.
Manage the force WiFi estate to ensure maximum availability with supporting security protocols.
Support VPN services for external users.
Essential Requirements: Cisco CCNA certification.
Degree level qualification or equivalent experience.
Proven experience in a 2nd line network engineer role.
Expertise in Juniper Junos.
Familiarity with Cisco ACI.
Comprehensive knowledge of firewall configuration.
Strong skills in VPN security management.
Desirable Experience: Previous experience with Cisco ISE.
Knowledge of Aruba technologies.
Experience with load balancers.
Proficiency in handling proxy settings.
