Opportunity: Are you an experienced Ecologist/Sustainability Consultant with experience in Green Finance looking to take that next step in your career?
Our latest vacancy is a unique opportunity to work for a boutique firm in their Birmingham (preferable) or London office, shepherding green finance initiatives all around the UK as a Natural Capital Consultant.
You'll have the chance to be a part of a dynamic, growing team that specialises in the utilisation and analysis of data to provide strategic guidance for organisations to achieve nature positive goals including nature restoration, zero-carbon transport and climate adaptation.

Our client is the leading firm in a new form of "blended" finance projects, combining their knowledge of green and environmental finance with ecological concepts such as BNG and Natural Capital, allowing them to work across multiple sectors like transport & infrastructure, large-scale landscapes and the built environment.
This Senior Consultant role will allow you to work for a well-connected, recognised firm with a major partner in the green finance sector on exciting projects all over the UK, from the Midlands all the way to Loch Lomond in Scotland.

Responsibility: As the new Natural Capital Consultant, your responsibilities will be centred around providing support for a wide variety of challenging projects as the business continues to grow.
You will be expected to provide both qualitative and quantitative analysis for assigned projects, presenting your findings when necessary and work with other senior members of staff, supporting the acquisition of new work.
You'll also need to take a lead on meeting objectives, liaising with clients and stakeholders and be able to work collaboratively with other members of the team, allowing for efficient project delivery.

Requirements: To be considered for this Natural Capital Consultant role, you will need 3-5 years of experience working with natural capital projects, ideally delivering on projects involving any of the following:
Natural restoration involving a range of natural habitats and an understanding of associated challenges.
Green Finance projects - those that involve qualitative and quantitative analysis alongside stakeholder engagement with landowners, investors, buyers etc.
Natural Capital or Environmental Economic Accounting Developing green finance markets through BNG or other market mechanisms.
Green or sustainable finance policy within the UK or internationally.
