National Vitreoretinal Sales Specialist The Vitreoretinal Sales Specialist will oversee and drive sales of our portfolio of vitreoretinal products across the UK.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans, building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders in the ophthalmic industry, and achieving ambitious sales targets.
This role requires a deep understanding of the medical device market, particularly within the field of ophthalmology, and a proven track record of success in a similar sales role.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement sales strategies to meet and exceed targets for promoted products.
Build and maintain strong relationships with ophthalmic surgeons, purchasing managers, and other key stakeholders in hospitals and clinics.
Provide tailored solutions to meet the specific needs of each account.
Identify new business opportunities within the market, including potential partnerships and collaborations with healthcare providers and industry professionals.
Monitor and analyse market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to inform sales strategies and product development initiatives.
Maintain an in-depth understanding of our vitreoretinal surgery instruments, including their features, benefits, and clinical applications.
Provide expert advice and support to customers.
Provide training and product demonstrations to healthcare professionals, ensuring they are fully informed about the capabilities and advantages of our products.
Follow company guidelines on reporting tools and processes throughout pre and post sales phases.
Qualifications Required: Minimum of five years of experience in ophthalmology sales, vitreoretinal experience preferred.
Understanding of the purchasing structure and procurement processes of NHS and private healthcare organisations.
Education to degree level is desirable.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to build strong relationships and influence key decision-makers.
Highly driven, with a proven ability to work independently and manage a nationwide territory effectively.
A clean driving license and the ability to drive for extended periods of time given the size of the territory.
Competent in using CRM systems, MS Office Suite, and virtual meeting platforms.
