Description Baltic Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Permanent National Employability Tutor, working for a client on a National Basis.
Candidates must hold a Full UK License and own transport.
National Employability Tutor Main Duties & Responsibilities: Responsibility for safeguarding candidates whilst on programmeEstablish and maintain a safe environment for all staff and candidatesDeliver training and assessment on a variety of short course qualifications up to Level 2Deliver classroom-based employability courses to the unemployedBe able to interpret the knowledge requirements in ways that are appropriate to candidates at all levelsTo support learners in achieving their goals throughEmbed wider topics: safeguarding, Prevent, EDI and British valuesEmbed maths, English and ICTDemonstrating practical applications of vocational programmesAdapting/developing appropriate learning materialsRecording and providing feedback to learners continually on their programmeComplete attendance records and provide information for tracking student progress in their place of learningTo share best practice and recourses in training, learning and assessmentParticipate in standardisation meetingsTo prepare, maintain and monitor the training/workplace environment to meet Health and Safety standardsTo be compliant with all required administration dutiesTo be flexible in supporting the required needs of the business National Employability Tutor Applicants:Skills/Behaviours Show an appreciation of safeguarding issues and an ability to contribute towards a protective environmentExcellent interpersonal skills and communication skills both at a written and spoken levelIT literateAbility to work across all levels and engage with people accordinglyAble to demonstrate attention to detail and high-quality workGood personal organisation, time management and administrative skillsSelf-motivated and effective team player Knowledge/Experience Experience of delivering Digital Skills is preferred Hold a full teaching qualificationAn understanding of Safeguarding and PreventIdeally have experience of delivering L2 Lean organisation management, Facilities, Cleaning, Employability and Environmental.Working towards or hold the A1/TAQA/D32/33 Assessor qualificationHave experience of training in an educational or workplace environmentHave relevant industrial experience (warehouse/manufacturing/cleaning)To be flexible and demonstrate adaptability to meet the challenges and demands of the rolesHave an understanding of compliance paperwork and reviewsDemonstrate behaviour consistent with educational valuesBe committed to continuous professional development The successful candidate would be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
This role is classroom-based Monday to Friday 9am-5pm for learners, however, will be expected to work outside of these hours for marking travel etc.
Working away from home is an essential part of the role and could be three out of four weeks staying in a hotel from Sunday to Friday, all depends on the training location.
This role would require the successful candidate to travel into London.
Mileage is 45p per mile, hotels are pre-booked, an evening meal allowance up to £16 and mobile phone bill paid up to £50 a month.
