Trafford Music Service provides musical opportunities for children from across the borough.

We currently teach in primary and secondary schools across the authority as well as providing an after-school music provision at our Music Centre based in Sale.

You will have excellent organisational and ICT skills and an ability to work efficiently to deadlines.
Excellent communication, planning and delivery is essential to this role, and above all else we want to recruit someone with a love for teaching children and inspiring the next generation of children to be musical.
About the Role This role is for a committed and inspiring ukulele and guitar tutor to deliver instrumental lessons during weekdays at Trafford Schools on a regular weekly basis.
There will be a mix of one to one, small group and whole class ( wider opportunities) teaching.
The age of the students range from 5 up to 18 years old (school years 1 13), and will be from beginner up to Grade 8/Diploma level.
The successful candidate will have the ability to teach both classical and rock/pop styles and will join a fabulous, dedicated, and inspirational team who will support you and your professional development.
It is essential that standard music notation is a fundamental aspect taught in lessons, and tab notation can be taught to support stylistic approaches where appropriate.
Experience teaching Whole Class projects ( wider opportunities) on guitar, ukulele and other instruments is extremely desirable.
Pay and Working Hours This post is casual on Teachers' Pay and Conditions on the Unqualified Teacher pay scale 3-6.
The working days and times will be Monday to Friday during the school day.
The working hours for this post are term time only.
Candidates should be sure they can commit to teaching during term time before applying.
We are committed to providing continuity for our pupils and the highest level of instrumental tutoring.
Tutors are employed on Teachers' pay and conditions and therefore have the school holidays off and all tutors are expected to fully commit to all term dates.
