Job Role: Music Teacher for a Secondary School in Smiths Wood Location: Smiths Wood, Birmingham Contract Type: Full-time Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience Aspire People are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Music Teacher to join a well-regarded secondary school in Smiths Wood.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to inspire and engage students across a range of year groups, fostering a love for music and helping students to develop their musical talents.
Key Responsibilities: Plan, deliver, and assess engaging music lessons that cater to the needs of all students.
Promote a passion for music, supporting students in developing skills in performance, composition, and theory.
Contribute to the school's extracurricular music activities, including choir, band, and performances.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop the music curriculum.
Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel motivated and supported.
Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management.
Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a relevant degree in Music or a related field.
Experience teaching Music at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (KS5 experience is desirable).
Passionate about music education and committed to inspiring students.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
A clear DBS check.
