This fulltime permanent position commences immediately and offers an exciting opportunity to inspire young musicians and cultivate a lifelong love of music.
Position Summary The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and comprehensive music education to students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
You will play a pivotal role in fostering musical talent developing students theoretical knowledge and practical skills and promoting an appreciation for diverse musical genres and traditions.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and deliver innovative lesson plans that align with the national curriculum and the schools musical vision.
Create a vibrant and inclusive learning environment that encourages participation creativity and individual expression.
Assess student progress through a variety of formative and summative assessments providing constructive feedback to support their musical growth.
Direct and rehearse school ensembles choirs and bands preparing students for performances and competitions.
Contribute to the schools wider musical community by organizing concerts workshops and other extracurricular activities.
Qualifications and Experience: Bachelors degree or higher in Music or a related field.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification.
Demonstrated experience teaching Music at the secondary level.
A strong foundation in music theory history and performance practices.
Proficiency in a variety of musical instruments and genres.
