Multi-Trade Operative Based at Wroughton Business Park, Swindon – covering Bristol, Gloucestershire and Swindon £33,702 - £35,476 per year 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday We have an opportunity for a Multi-Trade Operative to join our Day to Day responsive repairs team based in Swindon.
Covering sites across Bristol, Gloucestershire and Swindon You will be responsible for carrying out responsive and routine repairs to occupied properties including but not limited to carpentry, kitchen repairs, patch plastering, pvc door installation, pvc window replacement and repair.
Basic plumbing and tiling skills are a requirement of the role.
The team also carry out external repairs including fencing and groundworks and you will also be required to be on an emergency call out rota.
A company van and power tools will be provided for business use along with a full training plan.
The role of Multi-Trade Operative will include: Attending properties to carry out construction, fault fixing and maintenance duties within social housing Resolving problems or setting into motion the means of resolution, ensuring customers are kept informed Maintaining a suitable van stock level and restocking these when needed Providing accurate and timely information on the progress of works that is easily understood by the customer Providing out of hours cover via a call out rota Skills and experiences: To ensure full compliance with CDM 2015 legislation, candidates applying for this role must be qualified to or undertaking NVQ Level 2 in a core subject (carpentry, electrical.
If Plumbing Level 3 is required, Unvented - G3 Certificate and Water Regulations (WRAS).
If you have a lower level qualification along with practical experience and would be prepared to undertake this qualification with the support of Sanctuary Group, we would still welcome an application Recent experience of undertaking a similar role within social housing is advantageous Ability to work to deadlines and prioritise tasks Additional skills in some of the following disciplines – plumbing, carpentry and plastering would be advantageous Working knowledge of the health and safety regulations This role will involve driving on company business.
In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence As part of the interview process, candidates will be required to bring with them the original certification verifying proof of their qualifications.
