Multi-Trade Operative Ipswich - covering Essex, Suffolk and Norfolk £33,702 - £35,476 per year 40 hours per week – Monday to Friday – 8:00am – 4:30pm We have an opportunity for a Multi-Trade Operative to join our Responsive Repairs team, based in Ipswich.
With a mix of skills and qualifications, the role will involve working on repairs for both void and tenanted properties and will cover all aspects of general building repairs and maintenance, including doors and windows.
The role is mainly lone working with opportunities to work with the wider team as and when required, sharing out of hours call outs on a rota basis.
With a company van and tools included the role will cover the sites across Essex, Suffolk and Norfolk.
The role of Multi-Trade Operative will include: Carry out construction, fault fixing and maintenance duties in line with contract specifications Ensure tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and restocking these when needed Respond positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery, by resolving problems or set into motion the means of resolution, ensuring customers are kept informed Providing accurate and timely information on the progress of works that is easily understood by the customer Skills and experiences: To ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation, candidates applying for this role must be qualified to NVQ Level 2 in a core subject (plumbing, carpentry, electrical) NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing if plumbing is core or currently undertaking the qualification.
If you have a lower level qualification along with practical experience and would be prepared to undertake this qualification with the support of Sanctuary Group, we would still welcome an application.
Awareness of health and safety regulations and working legislation Skills in some of the following disciplines – carpentry, plumbing, decorating Excellent customer service and communication skills Ability to prioritise workloads, work to deadlines and plan ahead This role will involve driving on company business.
In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence As part of the interview process, candidates will be required to bring with them the original certification verifying proof of their qualifications.
