Job Description: Multi-Skilled Shift Engineer Location: Glasgow Salary: £47,080 (includes base salary & shift allowance) Hours: Full time – Shift rotation Monday - Friday 6am – 2pm and 2pm – 10pm (No weekend work) Our client is a rapidly growing engineering company that provides world-class Asset Life-Cycle Management solutions.

Play a pivotal role in the monitoring, maintenance, improvement and control of their production, automation, and plant operations.
You will receive training on brand new high speed packaging equipment in a purpose built and new facility.
Key Responsibilities Ensure production targets are consistently met every shift.
Oversee operating procedures, always prioritising safety.
Perform Routine Maintenance: Conduct regular PPM maintenance to keep equipment in optimal condition.
Identify and resolve technical problems efficiently.
Implement strategies for ongoing process and performance enhancement.
Maintain and repair equipment and automated systems to ensure smooth operations.
Accurately document and report any issues encountered during shifts.
Collaborate closely with other teams and departments to achieve production goals through effective communication and problem-solving.
Qualifications & Skills Relevant engineering experience [Minimum NVQ Level 3], equivalent or transferrable skills.
BTEC/HNC/HND/C&G or Degree in Engineering or related field Previous experience as Multi Skilled Electrical / Mechanical Engineer with a strong technical knowledge in relevant fields Familiarity with relevant safety procedures and regulations Able to understand the importance and principles of an advanced Quality Management System (QMS) Experience in maintaining, repairing machinery, production equipment, industrial networks and control systems.
Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to work under pressure.
Experience of safely conducting planned maintenance across a site ensuring maintenance procedures are followed.
Be an integral part of the engineering team, responding to breakdowns establishing root cause analysis to limit breakdown reoccurring, improving machine reliability and performance.
Willing to learn and adapt to role requirements.
Hands on ownership of issues Experience of working well in a team within a fast-paced environment Preferably Multi Skilled Electrical / Mechanical with a strong technical knowledge in relevant fields such as Mechanical, Electrical, Automation Engineering, Industrial Engineering Previous knowledge and understanding of the importance and relevance of a Quality Management System (QMS) Experience of updating records of tasks/spare parts used from store and work completed, using a CMMS.
