Reporting to the Site Engineering Manager we currently have an exciting opportunity for three experienced Multi-Skilled Engineers, ideally with a Mechanical bias , to join our busy Maintenance Team at our manufacturing site in Halifax.

So, what's the mission?
Your main responsibilities will be to ensure the continuous running of the production process by eliminating downtime through a safe and logical approach to fault finding and maintenance of equipment.
You will work on various different types of equipment including complex hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic control systems.
The current shift pattern is working 4 on and 4 off, 2 nights, 2 days rotating.
(6:00am – 6:00pm) with the successful applicant supporting our Wet Press and secondary process plants.
You will be responsible for carrying out a range of planned and reactive engineering activities on-site.
What are the mission critical skills?
A strong mechanical working knowledge and experience is essential.
Time served/apprentice trained in a similar position ideally with Mechanical qualifications (C&G 2320 P1 & P2, ONC, NVQ 3 or equivalent).
An understanding of the IEE 18th edition.
Good understanding of current environmental and health and safety issues and knowledge of regulatory requirements.
Practical hands-on approach.
Have significant experience, understanding, and knowledge of the maintenance of a variety of plant, ideally in Wet Press, cropping and mixing plants.
Experience in fault finding, defect rectification, and routine maintenance activities.
Previous PLC experience (Allen Bradley) would be a distinct advantage.
Ability to interrogate/understand maintenance problems to provide accurate plant condition information/recommendations.
Excellent communication skills, dealing with operatives and Team leaders from both maintenance and production.
