Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Engineer to join our team.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical and electrical background, with the ability to maintain and repair various systems and equipment.
This role requires excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
The Maintenance Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring operational efficiency and safety within the facility.
Responsibilities To ensure the upkeep of machines and factories Ensuring compliance with all health and safety and legislation Ensure that Company policies, procedures and standards are followed and maintained to meet all requirements, in line with our specifications and certifications.
Liaise with other departments.
Continuous improvement to ensure machine uptime is at its maximum.
Assist/work in any department/ area as and when required, to forward product though the facility to achieve agreed delivery on time.
Ensure records are kept up to date.
Conduct service and maintenance work, breakdowns, and urgent repairs to support both sites Follow-up and resolve issues which are highlighted.
Demonstrate a proactive, can do and will do attitude.
This list is not exhaustive or conclusive Knowledge, Skills and Experience Time served Multi Skilled Engineer and hold a formal engineering qualification.
Full UK Driving Licence Planned and Reactive maintenance experience The ability to work as a team and be self-motivated.
The ability to understand written and verbal instruction.
Product knowledge (training will be given if necessary) Good communication skills A willingness to work on a flexible basis as and when required.
An understanding of the electric and mechanics of woodworking machinery The ability to maintain the fabric of a building.
Good fault-finding abilities Good computer skills CNC and PLC knowledge is a bonus but not essential.
