MULTI SKILLED MAINTENANCE ENGINEER MONDAY - FRIDAY: DAYS £35,000 - £45,000 PER ANNUM People Solutions are actively seeking a dedicated Maintenance Electrician or Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our client's on-site team.
This role plays a critical part in ensuring that their manufacturing processes and installations run smoothly and efficiently.

• Diagnose and repair electrical faults, ensuring systems operate safely and at peak efficiency.
• Support and participate in new electrical installations, following all relevant standards and safety requirements.
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks to enhance the longevity and performance of equipment.
• Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints to assist in troubleshooting and repairs.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient communication and effective issue resolution.
• Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to all safety protocols and regulations • Perform maintenance and repairs on mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems as needed.
• Use combined electrical and mechanical skills to troubleshoot complex issues across various equipment.
Essential Skills • Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Maintenance Electrician/Engineer within the steel industry.
• Qualification in electrical installations and practices (17th/18th Edition certification required).
• Knowledge of inspection and testing procedures (desirable).
• Demonstrated experience with preventive maintenance practices.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals and schematics.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and practices.
Desirable Experience • Experience in mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance and repairs.
• Additional certifications in inspection and testing procedures.
• Willingness to participate in cross-functional training to develop both electrical and mechanical expertise.
