A leading food manufacturer is seeking a dedicated Engineer to join their team, ensuring the smooth operation of their factory and maintaining equipment for optimal efficiency.
This role will be integral to meeting performance targets and customer standards, focusing on safety, effectiveness, and alignment with company values.
Key Responsibilities: Conduct regular maintenance and repair of factory equipment to minimise downtime and maximise production.
Diagnose, repair, and test machinery, ensuring the availability of all plant operations.
Actively respond to breakdowns within a two-minute callout response to maintain production flow.
Order necessary spare parts, manage inventory, and oversee machinery performance to maintain operational standards.
Liaise with contractors, maintain records, and implement continuous improvements in efficiency and waste reduction.
Ideal Candidate Profile: Holds a formal engineering qualification (minimum level 3) with a focus on multi-skilling.
Familiar with 18th Edition Electricity At Work Regulations and IOSH Health & Safety standards.
Experienced in factory settings, preferably in the food industry, with hands-on engineering knowledge.
Strong understanding of supply chains, shift planning, and technical standards.
Proficient in PLC programming, computer literacy, and Holistic operations.
