Building a sustainable tomorrow BAM FM are looking to recruit a Multi Skilled M&E Engineer join our team based at the Nightingale Hospital in Exeter.
Working 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday on a shift rotation.
Your mission • Reporting directly to the Facilities Manager.
You will be expected to take full responsibility for the building maintenance across a hospital environment.
As part of this role, you will be required to work 40 hours per week based on an early and late rotating shift pattern Monday to Friday starting at 07:00hrs.
Shift patterns may vary due to operational requirements.
• Being on a 1 in 3 on call rota covering 7 days call out rota to provide the client with full out of hours cover.
There will be a with additional on call payment and overtime if called out.
• To maintain full and safe operational functionality and presentation of all M&E services including a wide range of AHU`s HRU`s, A/C units and/or other climate control equipment.
• Carrying out Planned Preventative Maintenance, reactive and emergency breakdown tasks and complete the associated paperwork on all equipment and complete the appropriate paperwork and reports.
• PPM`s and record-keeping to be consistently carried out in line with Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental standards.
• The objective is to maximise equipment safety reliability, availability and presentation.
• Carry out repairs within the scope of training and competence.
• Maintain full and safe operational functionality of all plant equipment • Installs and de-installs of equipment.
• Carry out building fabric repairs as necessary.
• Provide M&E advice to site managers.
• Undertake the management of the companies M&E activities in accordance with Company procedures.
• Undertake the M&E and process design where considered appropriate for a particular project opportunity.
• Maintain up to date M&E and process engineering knowledge.
• Undertake the management of resources allocated.
• Maintain a good working relationship with all stakeholders.
• Maintain records to support activities.
• Carry out other relevant duties as required as the business dictates.
Who are we looking for?
• Electrical/Mechanical of HVAC, M&E services.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety and safe working practices.
• Minor building fabric repairs • Strong customer care focus.
• Good communication skills.
• Proactive approach.
• Able to anticipate and/or diagnose and repair faults.
• Capable of completing essential paperwork in an accurate and timely manner.
• Full UK Drivers license.
