Job summary The Radiology Directorate at Blackpool Teaching Hospitals are looking to recruit an MRI Radiographer to our team.The ideal candidate for this role would be a Radiographer with some experience in MRI, although an AFC band 5 training role may be considered for a less experienced candidate with the right attitude & commitment.
A post graduate certificate in MRI would be an advantage.
Main duties of the job We are a busy MRI department operating three static Siemens Sola MR systems across two sites (Blackpool Victoria Hospital & Whitegate Drive walk in centre) Our fourth MRI scanner is a GE Voyager scanner which is a mobile Community Diagnostic Centre; primarily based at Fleetwood Health & Wellbeing Centre All scanners are state of the art and are equipped with the latest AI acceleration upgrades and coils The MRI radiographers report to the clinical leads & the MRI manager.
Candidates would be expected to work flexibly on a rotational 7 day shift pattern to include day shifts & long days (08:00 - 20:00).
You will be joining an enthusiastic and friendly team who provide a comprehensive MRI service including, MSK, oncology, neuro, vascular & cardiac MRI examinations.

We hold regular training and development sessions and multiple opportunities for post-graduate training courses including PGCert in MRI & MRI Clinical reporting.We are a UKAS Quality Standard for Imaging (QSI) accredited department and committed to continuous quality improvement.
All MRI staff are expected to have input into the quality of the MRI department; completing audits as assigned by the MRI managerWe would welcome and encourage informal enquiries or visits to our department.
