Salary: starting from £35,666 + Benefits (possible to increase salary via incremental steps in the first 12 months) Role duration: 12 months in the first instance.
Summary purpose - what you will be achieving.
You will play a key role in advising on and delivering the monitoring and evaluation (M&E) requirements of the Academy's grant schemes and career development programmes, which will contribute to communicating the impact of our work and the evidence base for the continuous improvement of our schemes and processes.
You will also contribute to the team's wider portfolio of work, including monitoring awards for assurance of compliance with our policies, and the delivery of our strategy.
The role is positioned within the Academy's Biomedical Grants and Policy Team and will report to the Monitoring and Evaluation Manager.

About the role – what you will be doing.
To deliver and support monitoring and evaluation activities for the Academy's grant schemes and career development programmes.
Developing and maintaining relevant M&E data collection systems/tools for grant schemes and career development programmes.
Collating and analysing M&E data to produce high-quality reports and visual representations, and communicating findings to stakeholders.
Supporting the external reporting requirements to the Academy's funders and partners.
Coordinating the ResearchFish annual submission process, and data submissions to external databases (e.g.
Europe PMC).
Working closely with the M&E Manager in the development of impact case studies of Academy grant awardees for external audiences.
Providing support to commissioned external evaluations of grant schemes and career development programmes.
  To liaise with stakeholders: Working with other members of the Biomedical Grants and Policy department to support M&E of the team's activities.
Building collaborative working relationships with M&E colleagues at partner organisations, working on shared projects when required.  Working with other Academy staff, as required, to support in the delivery of wider organisational reporting, including the Academy's annual Impact Report.
  To contribute to the Academy's wider portfolio of work, including drafting and providing data for papers for the Academy's governing committees.
  To act as line-manager or project manager for one of the Academy's interns, on a rotation basis and when the opportunity arises.
  To perform any other duties that might be reasonably expected, and which are commensurate with this level of post.
