Job description Job responsibilities Duties and responsibilities for the roleinclude but are not limited to:Provide general healthcare to all registered patients during normal practice hours 0800 to 1630hrs.Maximise the levels of health, wellbeing, and employability of Service personnel toensure the needs of the Single Services (SS) are met.Undertake medical examinations and provide appropriate occupationalhealthcare and advice, and all supporting administrative duties.Training in military Occupational Healthcare will be provided as part of the job.Provide appropriate preventative medical advice to both individuals and Chain ofCommand.Assist with advice on the management of communicable diseases, includingmonitoring and reporting through single Service chains.Provide primary care emergency treatment to any patient who may require this withinthe Establishment.Have a working knowledge of and be actively involved in clinical governance.Participate in audit, in accordance with both personal and practice developmentplans.Work in collaboration with all members of the primary healthcare team and linemanagement.Please refer to the attached JobDescription and Person Specification for the full list of duties.Selection ProcessThe Ministry of Defence is committed to providing a safe and healthy working environment for its staff which includes educating them on the benefits of not smoking, protecting them from the harmful effects of second-hand smoke and supporting those who want to give up smoking.
