My client was set up in 1985 when the noticed a gap in the market for a more professional, centralised approach to security.
From their headquarters in Suffolk, they have grown a respected business that provides a professional, tailored service to an extensive list of clients in the Bury St Edmunds, Cambridge, Thetford, Ely, Newmarket and Ipswich area.
Their relationships with clients tend to last, with several contracts dating back to their very early days.
Their services include Mobile Patrol and Key holding services, CCTV monitoring and static manned guarding.
They are NSI gold accredited and hold approved contractor status with the SIA.
My client is a close-knit team of people, who offer exceptional levels of support both inside the workplace and outside if ever needed.
I am currently working with them to appoint a Mobile Services Manager based at their head office.
This purpose of this role is to manage the Mobile Services department for the company.
The role is wide ranging and some of the tasks involved include managing five nightly routes serving their clients across their operating area, overseeing and developing a team of ten Mobile Patrol Officers (including three experienced supervisors), undertaking day-to-day customer relationships and communication, undertaking site set ups and surveys, organising key collection, looking after the financial side of the department, problem solving and when required dealing with out of hours issues after it has been escalated by a supervisor.
In order to gain an understanding of the role Initially the successful candidate will learn the Mobile Patrol Officers role.
This will involve night work and 12-hour shifts.
As a small company they offer flexibility that a larger organisation cannot, so you will not be chained to your desk, however in return they will expect you to be contactable out of hours to deal with an issue if required.
The client would like to develop the Mobile division further and for this role they require an individual who is looking for a long-term career opportunity.
Someone who sees the department as their own domain and who will treat it like it is their own business, who has ideas to grow the department and potentially open new routes.
Candidate requirements I am looking for candidates who ideally have a broad knowledge of the operational elements of the manned security sector, however candidates from other sectors would be considered (such as logistics).
