Role: Military Airworthiness Surveyor Engagement: Contract, PAYE Duration: 6 Months, Jan 2025 - 30th June 2025 Location: East Midlands/Lincolnshire.
4 days a week remote, 1 per week on site Hours: 37.5 per week Rate: £40 per hour, or £300 per day.
This is a contract role to produce Military Airworthiness Reviews on behalf of the MOD for 6 months, visiting sites on average 1 day per week, with deliverables produced at home for the remaining 4.
Your purpose: You will be responsible for delivering Military Airworthiness Reviews on behalf of the MOD, working alone or as part of a team.
You will demonstrate compliance when delivering the outputs required by the Regulator and customer as required by current regulations and legislation.
You will strive to build sustainable relationships with customers.
You will be able to prepare detailed technical reports to both internal and external customers.
You will be prepared to work flexibly within the AtkinsRéalis Military Airworthiness Team.
You will seek to identify future business opportunities.
You will ensure that a robust code of ethics underpins Mil AR service delivery; adopting in full the ethical principles published by the Engineering Council and Royal Academy of Engineering.
Requirements: Compliant with MRP RA 4972 (Military Airworthiness Review Surveyors - MRP Part M Sub Part I).
Experience of working on fixed-wing aircraft.
Competence to make engineering airworthiness decisions.
Detailed knowledge of aircraft maintenance documentation and the MAA Regulatory Publications (MRP).
Be based predominantly in the East Midlands, with occasional overnight travel, to reduce the burden of travelling to the client's Units.
Proven written and verbal communication skills.
Able to deal effectively with multiple issues whilst working to tight timescales.
