Job summary BETSI CADWALLADR UNIVERSITY HEALTH BOARD MEDICAL DIRECTORATE - WREXHAM MAELOR HOSPITAL Is looking for middle/registrar grade doctors to support Gastroenterology Team.
The Gastroenterology inpatients are predominantly on one Ward which has 27 beds.

Main duties of the job The Middle Grade will see referrals from other specialties following discussion with Consultant and take over care as when needed.
There is shared care of complex inflammatory bowel disease patients with the surgeons.
There a dedicated weekly Endoscopy Training Session timetabled for the successful applicant.
Close supervision with weekly discussions of clinic patients and there is weekly teaching for the ward team.
Upper GI MDT takes place every Thursday morning and Lower GI MDT every Thursday lunchtime.
Monthly IBD MDT and weekly Liver and Nutrition MDTs.
There will be opportunities for audit and quality improvement projects within the role.
The initial contract is for a 12 month period which can be reviewed and extended if wished.
