We are looking for a Meter Reader to join our hard working and friendly Tauntonteam to obtain and verify water meter readings for Bristol Water and Wessex Water on a 12 month fixed term contract.
Living locally and having knowledge of the Somersetarea would be ideal as you will mainly work in the BA6, BA16 and TA11areas.
What you'll do The meter reading role involves working independently for most of the time which is perfect if you have a busy home life and would love the opportunity for some peace and quiet.
Your safety is our number one concern, and you will be looked after by our innovative Lone Worker System' at all times.
We are looking for a full-time Meter Reader to work 37 hours per week usually starting at 08:00 and finishing at 16:00.
However, you are free to be flexible with your hours if there is no detrimental effect on our customers.
What you'll need If you like counting your steps, this role provides the chance to reach your 10k a day goal (and then some!)
and is the perfect opportunity to exercise daily.

You don't need to have meter reading experience as full training is provided; however, we are looking for someone who can work using their own initiative and has a full clean driving licence.
There will be daily contact with customers so great communication and customer awareness skills are essential along with being able to work to targets.
