About the Role: As a Metadata Analyst , you will play a vital role in supporting the development, improvement, and delivery of our Data Catalogue Operating Model.
This position offers the unique opportunity to contribute to a key data migration project, transitioning from legacy data catalogue solutions to a new SaaS-based platform.
Your work will directly impact our ability to provide trusted, accessible data that meets regulatory requirements, enhances operational efficiency, and powers innovative analytics to drive business growth.
You'll collaborate closely with data stewards across the organization, helping to adopt best practices in metadata management and ensuring the seamless mapping and migration of existing data assets to the new system.
As the Metadata Analysr, you will: Drive the evolution of metadata management practices to ensure consistent and effective data cataloguing across the organization.
Work on transitioning legacy data catalogue solutions to a modern SaaS platform, preparing metadata for import by mapping existing files, updating fields, and creating loading templates.
Standardize and improve cataloguing practices to ensure high-quality metadata that supports business needs and compliance requirements.
Provide guidance and best practices for metadata creation and management, enabling data stewards to maintain trusted, accessible data assets.
Analyze existing technical, business, and corporate metadata to ensure a smooth migration to the new platform.
Align cataloguing practices with regulatory requirements such as GDPR and industry standards.
Link metadata management to business goals, such as improving operational efficiency, regulatory adherence, and innovative analytics capabilities.
Requirements This role is ideal for someone with an interest in metadata processing and data management who is keen to develop their skills in a supportive, growth-oriented environment.
Functional skills in Informatica Axon and EDC An understanding of database structures, data lineage, and how data models interact with tools.
Great communication, presentation, and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in collaborative tools like SharePoint and OneNote.
A disciplined, analytical approach to managing work and priorities.
Awareness of data's value as a business asset and the importance of regulatory compliance.
