Ensuring that stripping and rebuilding work of all vehicles is carried out in a professional and correct manner and that final quality checks are undertaken in line with applicable standards.
Dismantling vehicles ready for the panel area.
Carrying out inspections.
Ordering replacement parts.
Re-assembling the vehicle with new parts as required to pre-accident condition.
Stripping and fitting components, bodywork and trim elements.
Carry out all MET duties required within your remit.
Follow manufacturer repair methods to return vehicles to pre-accident condition Carry out fault-finding and diagnostics.
Perform road testing (if applicable) Dismantle and reassemble damaged vehicles in accordance with the prescribed repair method.
Ensuring that all jobs are completed within the estimated times scales.
Check that all parts are ordered as per estimate, to ensure that the repair can be completed without delay, returning all unused parts to the parts department for credit.
Awareness and adherence to all necessary standards and Health and Safety procedures.
About you Ideally you will hold NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in mechanical repairs.
An ATA qualification would also be an advantage.
Lapsed training can be recertificated.
You will have experience in stripping, refitting vehicles.
You will have the ability to work efficiently within a fast paced Bodyshop and take responsibility for the quality and quantity of your own work.
You will be capable of working to the highest standard and demonstrate sound, up to date knowledge of vehicle repair techniques.
You will have strong time management and organisational skills.
