As a Mental Health Support Worker, you will play a pivotal role in supporting students with mental health needs, working closely with teachers, parents and other support staff to provide a nurturing and understanding environment.

Essential Qualities That We Are Looking For: Provide compassionate and targeted support to students experiencing mental health challenges, fostering a safe and supportive atmosphere.
Implement one-on-one and small group interventions tailored to each student's specific mental health needs.
Assist in the planning and delivery of lessons, ensuring the inclusion and engagement of students with mental health needs.
Employ effective strategies to manage crises and emotional outbursts, ensuring the safety and well-being of all students.
Track and document student progress, providing regular feedback to teachers and contributing to the development of personalised support plans.
Stay abreast of the latest educational practices and ASD strategies, engaging in continuous professional development.
The Successful Candidate Will: Essentially have experience working with individuals experiencing mental health challenges .
Experience in a school or educational setting is preferred.
Have an excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
Possess high degree of empathy, patience and understanding when dealing with students facing mental health issues.
