Job summary We are excited to offer an opportunity for a developing Band 5 clinician to join our dynamic and supportive multi-disciplinary team within the CAMHS Neurodevelopmental Conditions Service (NDC).
As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the mental health and well-being of children and young people.Key Responsibilities: Manage a caseload of young people, ensuring high-quality care and support.Develop care pathways and effectively signpost young people to appropriate mental health services.Provide comprehensive assessment and intervention for children and young people experiencing moderate to severe mental illness.Support the duty clinician and respond to urgent cases as required.Offer consultation, advice, training, and support to partnership agencies and colleagues within the multi-disciplinary team.

Main duties of the job The Band 5 clinician will be responsible for developing and delivering a high standard of assessment and treatment for patients referred to the service.
This includes managing an agreed clinical caseload, ensuring continuity of care through effective care coordination as needed.In collaboration with patients, carers, and clinical teams, the clinician will assess and provide evidence-based treatment programmes and discharge plans, utilising the Care Programme Approach (CPA) to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care.
The clinician will also plan and provide appropriate therapy services, using evidence-based practice, while adhering to defined resources.The role involves developing and maintaining relevant, evidence-based therapeutic activities tailored to the specific needs of the patient.
Regular review and evaluation of treatment programs will be carried out in conjunction with patients, carers, and clinical team members to ensure the effectiveness of the care provided.The clinician will actively participate in clinical meetings, case conferences, and CPA meetings, facilitating the smooth transition of patients through various stages of their care, including care planning and therapy programs.
Additionally, they will be responsible for compiling written reports as required and ensuring that patient documentation is accurate and up to date.

Person Specification Knowledge Essential To have ability to manage case load and act as care coordinator for clients on case list Desirable Professional knowledge acquired through degree/diploma Qualifications Essential RMN or RN with additional Mental Health Qualification; or Occupational Therapist with HCPC Registration or Social Worker with HCPC registration Desirable To be able contribute to the audit process Experience Essential Experience of working within a mental health setting.
Desirable Experience of working with children and young people who have serious mental illness and their families and carers in the community
