Job summary Mental Health Practitioners (Band 6 AFC) needed for a brand new Mental Health Liaison Service at Skegness Urgent Treatment Centre.This pilot Service is being created with winter pressures Monies to support LCHS at Skegness Urgent Treatment Centre with patients with mental health needs for an initial period of 6 months with the possibility of extending if the service is successful.Suitably qualified, experienced (at least 2 years) and registered Mental Health Nurses, Occupational Therapists and Social Workers are encouraged to apply.
Hours of Work: Shifts covering a 8am to 10pm, 7 days per week, which could include earlys, lates, and long days.We are looking for Mental Health Practitioners with experience across multiple disciplines, including older adult mental health care, experience of crisis, liaison, or other urgent care pathways.We will make a commitment of ensuring you are provided with high quality supervision and mentoring to support your development, knowledge, and skills to succeed in delivering high quality care.For further details, please contact either James Harding (Service Manager) or Gareth Price (Head or Service)Email: JamesH or G Main duties of the job It is expected that your primary role will be to carry out comprehensive Bio-Psychosocial Assessments in line with NICE Guidelines and Evidence Based Treatment Pathways for persons presenting to the UTC.
You will be contributing to the Multi-disciplinary Team approach to ensure the best outcome possible for our patients.
You will need to demonstrate high functioning in risk management, communication skills, and exceptional personal qualities to deliver high quality care and assessment to patients.
Developing effective partnership working with the community trust.It will also review and signpost those who have been admitted with regards to CAMHS and drug & alcohol related mental health needs.Furthermore, we require those who can demonstrate strong values to create and foster a culture that supports and enables the development of the Liaison service.
