Job Description Currently, we have an excellent opportunity for a Mental Health Nurse to join the Adult Acute Services team providing high-quality care and therapeutic support in an inpatient setting.
The hospital offers a range of inpatient mental health services.
The acute mental health wards support male and female patients during times of crisis, providing a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment for individuals with conditions such as schizophrenia, personality disorders, depression, and bipolar disorder.
Salary: Up to £ 38,716 Position: RMN Hours: Full Time Setting: Adult Acute Mental Health Location: Manchester, SK8 Key Responsibilities: Providing nursing care and acting as a named nurse for a defined group of patients.
Assessing, planning, and delivering care in partnership with patients and their families.
Engaging with service users to assess needs, monitor progress, and adapt care plans.
Promoting and adhering to the Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) model in patient care.
Ensuring high standards of care and therapeutic engagement during inpatient stays.
Participating in quality improvement processes and clinical governance activities.
Providing clear and accessible information to patients and families regarding care.
Acting as the Nurse in Charge of the ward, ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment.
Maintaining accurate clinical records and effective communication within the team.
Supporting and contributing to multidisciplinary team (MDT) practices.
For this role, we're looking for someone who has: Active NMC registration as a Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid PIN.
Knowledge of NMC standards, guidelines, and professional practices.
A positive attitude toward service improvement and commitment to quality care.
Ability to apply flexible and innovative approaches to nursing practice.
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, and IT literate.
