** Thurrock, Essex ** November start ** Experienced TA's or graduates welcome to apply ** Mental health and SEN Teaching Assistant ** Long term role until at least July 2025 ** Permanent from August 2025 ** £83-£100 per day - paid weekly ** Good OFTED ** Training and courses available ** Onsite parking This is a position where you will be working in a class, outside of class, group work and give 1:1 support to a student who has issues with behaviour, trauma, anxiety and depression.
The SEN Teaching Assistant will be responsible for ensuring no work is missed with this student and should be able to find creative and innovative ways to educate and engage the pupil when their mental health and learning needs get in the way of their progression.
This role would be ideal for psychology graduates who are interested in a career in education or psychology, as there will be opportunities to shadow and work alongside educational psychologists, occupational therapists and speech and language therapists.
