Job summary ** Previous Applicants Need Not Apply ** We are looking for someone who has a can-do attitude with the ability to use their initiative in response to changing environments within the medical staffing team.
A responsive person with knowledge of Medical and Dental Terms and Conditions, experience of planning, analysing and managing medical rotas, supporting budget reviews and re-consolidation, providing specialist advice on a range of issues, as well as managing junior doctor rotations, and organising locums.
In addition, the post holder must be confident working in fast-paced and high target environments and will be responsible for providing comprehensive advice and senior administrative support to their relevant Clinical Director (CD) in relation to the operational management and recruitment of medical staff at all levels, in line with the relevant Terms and Conditions of service, legislation, and Trust policies.
Main duties of the job The role involves advising and supporting with all aspects in the ongoing management of medical staff within the Trust.
This includes doctors from FY1 to consultant level.
The tasks include providing specialist advice on a range of HR/staffing issues; recruitment; rota analysis and management; supporting CDs with budget analysis and consolidation; managing junior doctor rotations including presenting at induction; monitoring absences and organising locums; production of information on staffing/vacancies; attending meetings; dealing with employment queries including supporting complex pay queries.Working independently, but within a supportive team environment, the role is very varied and busy.
You will routinely work to tight timescales with competing deadlines so a proven ability to work under pressure and prioritise a demanding workload is essential.
You will liaise with medical staff at all levels, along with other senior Trust staff and external bodies, so good interpersonal and communication skills are required.
Medical staffing/medical education or previous HR experience in a related role is required and experience of planning and managing rotas will be an advantage.
