The shift pattern is Mon Thurs-09:00-17:00 Fri 09:00-16:30An opportunity has arisen to join the administration team for the Forensic Community Mental Health Team as a band 4 medical secretary.The Directorate of Forensic Mental Health & Learning Disabilities provides specialist services for adults with mental health problems who may pose a risk to themselves or others, or have been in contact with the criminal justice system as a result of offending behaviour.
Services are provided in a variety of settings dependent on the individuals need, this includes medium and low secure units and working with people in the community.The post-holder will provide a comprehensive and confidential secretarial and administrative service to a multi-disciplinary team.
Excellent organisational and communication skills are essential.
The medical secretary is required to exercise their own initiative, to plan and prioritise work as appropriate.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay.
This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff.
This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours.
However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
