Job summary We require 2 parttime / 1 Full time medical receptionist to join our friendly team.
The successful applicantmust be computer literate, have good communication skills and be able to workunder pressure.Hours of workrequired: Monday-Friday Main duties of the job Theduties and responsibilities to be undertaken by members of the practiceadministration team may include any or all of the items in the followinglist.
Duties may be varied from time totime under the direction of the senior receptionist/practice manager, dependenton current and evolving practice workload and staffing levelsOpening up/locking-up of practice premises and maintaining security in accordance with Practice protocolsMaintaining and monitoring the practice appointments systemProcessing personal and telephone requests for appointments, visits and telephone consultations and ensuring callers are directed to the appropriate healthcare professionalProcessing and distributing incoming (and outgoing) mailTaking messages and passing on informationFiling and retrieving paperworkProcessing repeat prescriptions in accordance with practice guidelinesComputer data entry/data allocation and collation; processing and recording information in accordance with practice proceduresInitiating contact with and responding to requests from patients, other team member and associated healthcare agencies and providersProviding clerical assistance to practice staff as required from time to time, including word/data processing, filing, photocopying and scanningProvision of refreshments for staff and visitors as required; loading and emptying the dishwasher and keeping the kitchen area clean and tidy About us We are a large busy Practice based in the Cutgate area of Rochdale.
We have 8 GPs, 2 ANP, 1 Pharmacist, 4 Practice Nurses and a Healthcare Assistant, working alongside a large team of administration staff.
