Job summary We are looking for the right candidate to join as Medical Receptionist in our team.We are flexible in offering full time or 2 x part time positions, depending on the needs of the practice and candidates availability.
Main duties of the job Greet patients and visitors to the practice.Answering incoming telephone calls, ensuring calls are documented (where required) and redirected accordingly.Book, amend and cancel patient appointment in line with practice appointments procedures ensuing optimum efficiency of the appointment system.Deal with patient queries which may include calling hospital for copy of letters, lab reports or related.Ensure all tasks sent by GPs and admin staff are dealt on timely basisEnsure clinical rooms, reception and waiting areas are kept neat and tidy and also equipped with hand towels.Keep up to date with mandatory trainings.Re-stocking of information leaflets or any other relevant information as appropriateCheck emails on a daily basis.
Also regularly check practice general emails.Work safely at all times in accordance with GDPR Legislative requirements and Practice Policy and Procedures.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential GCSE grade A to C in English and Maths Desirable Qualified to NVQ level 2 in Health and Social Care Experience Essential Experience of working within same role, preferable in Health Care services Experience of customer service Desirable Experience of working in a GP practice
