Job summary We are looking for a person who thrives on providing excellent customer service and patient care to join our friendly, energetic practice.You must have excellent administrative, IT and communication skills and the ability to adapt to different situations as they arise.
You will be part of a busy reception team delivering high quality support for our patients.
Specific training given although an interest in IT is preferable.We are looking for up to full time hours.
Main duties of the job As part of a team, to achieve a smooth running and efficient surgery for both GPs and patients and to provide all necessary administrative support required by the PracticePrime ObjectivesTo provide an efficient and professional reception service during surgeries and clinicsTo ensure that all record keeping, both manual and computerised, is accurate and up to dateTo respect patient confidentiality at all timesMain DutiesRunning the appointment and associated IT systems accurately and to maximise use of available timeDealing with queries by reference to both computerised and manual recordsClerical work related to the reception functionExcellent telephone communication with patientsOpening and closing premises, ensuring readiness for use and security out of hoursData quality - scanning patient records and incoming mail, ensuring they are saved correctly in the patient notesIdentifying relevant clinical information documented in patient correspondence and completing any detailed actions such as arranging appointments, referrals, tests and follow-up appointments.Prepare documents for review by GPs as necessary.Other such duties as required for the smooth running of the practice About us Caterham Valley Medical Practice is a modern friendly Practice representing one of the three sites which make up The House Partnership.We are a forward thinking, well organized training practice with a high reputation for quality and standards.
