Given our rapid growth, we are looking for outstanding individuals to join our clinical will work autonomously and aspart of a team in the NHS Commissioned Adult ADHD service to provide aspecialist clinical assessment and intervention to adults with ADHD and theirfamilies.
Main duties of the job -The post holder is expected to work both autonomously and as part of a team in the NHS Commissioned Adult ADHD service to provide a specialist clinical assessment and intervention to adults with ADHD and their families.-The main responsibilities of the postholder will be to conduct ADHD assessments, reassessments of need for adults and to conduct medication follow ups.-The post holder will also be required to deliver pharmacological interventions for the treatment of adult ADHD.-To contribute to the ongoing development of services provided and work as an effective member of the multi-disciplinary team, maintaining high standards of care About us Led by Dr Wasi Mohamad (Psychiatrist) and Sabeen Mohamad (Psychotherapist), MHWS consists of a team of highly skilled caring practitioners with a range of qualifications and experience.

Job description Job responsibilities -To undertake a comprehensive holistic ADHD assessment for adults with suspected ADHD.-To undertake reassessment of needs for adults previously diagnosed with ADHD.
To be able to ascertain if there are other co-morbidities.-To offer ADHD medication follow up appointments under the supervision of more senior staff.
This will include monitoring of treatment response and assessing of side effects-To prescribe/titrate medication within a scope of practice once medication has been initiated by a senior clinician, once training has been undertaken by the post holder-Assessment will also include consideration of impact, differential or co-occurring conditions and a risk assessment.-Post-diagnostic advice, psychoeducation and support.-To complete physical observations of service users as part of medication treatment (height, weight, blood pressure, pulse, ECGs and taking blood samples).-To develop trusting therapeutic relationships with service users, their carers, and their families (where appropriate).
To establish an effective therapeutic relationship that enables the communication and sharing of complex and sensitive information.-The post holder will be responsible for ensuring high quality, accurate and timely recording on Trust electronic systems, of clinical information such as assessment, formulations, progress notes, care plans, risk assessments, outcomes, and discharge.-The post holder will be responsible for making recommendations to the wider team and to referrers on additional assessment or interventions and skills required to deliver the plan of care and expected health/social outcomes which are evidenced based and lead to recovery and minimise risk.-The post holder will be responsible for devising a management plan with each individual service user.
Person Specification Qualifications Essential Professional qualifications relevant to MHWBS Medical Degree BMBS, BM, MBChB.
Desirable Degree qualification Masters qualification Management or Leadership qualification Experience Essential Post Qualifying Experience Supervisory Skills caseload management and clinical supervision Experience of multi professional/ multi agency working Knowledge and skills Essential Comprehensive knowledge of relevant health and social care legislation and policy and challenges facing healthcare providers.
Good knowledge of contemporary issues in professional practice.
Knowledge and experience of audit processes.
Commitment to continuous training and professional development Risk assessment / risk management knowledge and skills.
Management and clinical supervision skills Resource management skills Ability to use and interrogate clinical information systems Evidence of continuing professional development Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to demonstrate diplomacy, tact and negotiation skills.
Knowledge of regulatory bodies and the requirements associated with this in terms of standards of service delivery, CQC, NMC, GMC Ability to lead effective and sustainable change.
