Assisting in recalling patients to the Practice for Long Term Condition follow-up clinic appointments3.
Scanning relevant Patient correspondence and letters4.
Filling information electronically into the Patients computer record Main duties of the job The post holder will be responsible for reviewing new andexisting medical records and patient information, correspondence and post.
Theywill summarise and enter this data on the clinical system, to provide theclinical staff with an accurate and easily accessible electronic summary of apatient's medical historyThe post holder will ensure that the records comply withlegal, regulatory and ethical requirements, working strictly in accordance withthe Notes Summarising ProtocolMonitoring progress of notes summarising against practicetargets and monitoring patient call and recall systems will form part for therole in addition to basic administration work such as scanning documents, filingand retrieving paperwork and postThis is so much more than trawling through records.
Inthis role you will have the opportunity to help peopleThe doctors and nurses depend heavily on the quality ofthe clinical records to provide much needed information to the patients andother teams across the surgery.
To undertake this aspect of the role you mustbe able to read large amounts of clinical information and have an eye fordetailFull training will be provided for the summarising aspectof the role.
