In this role you will be reporting directly into the Head of Medical UK and Ireland.
Your new roleAs our Medical Manager, you will work in alignment with the Head of Medical UK and Ireland to develop and implement medical strategies aligned with the company's vision.
Your role will involve working in partnership with the cross-functional team to advance innovation and provide solutions to deliver on our strategic goals, whilst honoring our ongoing commitment to patients living with brain diseases.
The Medical Manager will be required to demonstrate inspiring leadership qualities, collaboration, and the ability to influence across all levels of the organisation.
The individual will have a strategic mindset, and the ability to make decisions in a dynamic environment.
This role will have line management responsibility for a team consisting of field based MSLs and Medical Advisors, and the individual will demonstrate medical and scientific leadership across the organization, whilst ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Some of your tasks will include: Act as Final Medical Signatory and provide input and review into all relevant materials and activities to ensure medical/scientific accuracy and compliance with the ABPI Code of Practice/IPHA Code Act as key source of knowledge and information on the treatment landscape, including licensed products, pipeline data and unmet medical needs in the therapeutic areas of interest, upskilling and training of team when required.
Support development of strategies and programs to ensure internal and external readiness for product launches Coordinate and provide scientific and strategic input into the support and management of real-world data collection, investigator initiated clinical trials, identification of clinical trial site selections and publication opportunities as required Be an integrated member of the UK&IRL cross-functional teams and contribute fully to cross functional discussions offering valuable medical insight to contribute to inclusive decision making Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to collaborate with internal and external partners to provide medical input and resource for agreed tactics to support with execution of business goals Collaborating with internal stakeholders to identify and implement ongoing improvement measures to ensure adherence to relevant codes of practice Work closely with the Head of Medical to provide Medical Affairs leadership and actively engage in continuous improvement of processes relating to Medical and Compliance as deemed necessary to support the business.

Regular attendance at Watford office will be required, as well as readiness to travel nationally and internationally when required to conduct and participate in essential business activities.
What you bring to the team The need-to-have qualifications and hard skills: GMC Registered Physician / GPHC registered Pharmacist with established UK Final Signatory status Minimum 5 years' experience in the pharmaceutical industry with at least 3-5 years of signatory experience Previous line management experience desirable Comprehensive knowledge of medical affairs within the pharmaceutical industry including national healthcare systems The personal qualities needed for the role: Effective leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a fast-paced organization and coordinate multiple priorities and stakeholders High degree of emotional intelligence and the ability to communicate at different levels Applications must be received by 18.11.24.
