Salary: Up to £160,000 Our client is a highly regarded provider of inpatient mental health services, including a specialist personality disorder service, committed to offering a comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach to treatment.

The ideal candidate will be a fully GMC registered Consultant Psychiatrist with significant experience in adult psychiatry and mental health diagnosis.
They will have a strong commitment to delivering exceptional care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
For this role, you will need: Qualifications & Registration Full GMC registration with MBBS (or equivalent) qualification.
Registration on the specialist register (CCT/CESR), Section 12, and AC status.
Membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych) or equivalent.
Experience & Knowledge Extensive experience and knowledge in adult psychiatry and mental health diagnosis.
Strong understanding of the Mental Health Act and Code of Practice, along with the Mental Capacity Act 2005.
Skills & Competencies Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interview, assess, treat patients, and write clear medical notes.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities Work within a dynamic multidisciplinary team (MDT) to assess, treat, and stabilise service users.
Take overall responsibility for treatment plans in collaboration with the MDT.
Perform examinations, diagnoses, and treatment for service users.
Lead risk assessments, risk management, and the embedding of clinical governance within the service.
Participate in ward rounds, clinical audits, and reviews of Mental Health Act documentation.
Supervise reports for Mental Health Act tribunals and managers' hearings and attend hearings as necessary.
Provide clinical leadership and supervision to junior staff, supporting their development.
Participate in the telephone on-call rota.
