Job summary Bramblys Grange is looking torecruit an enthusiastic Medical Administrator to work in the friendly adminteam at Bramblys Grange.We are a thriving & expanding training practice developing ourservices within Basingstoke.
You will be responsible for undertaking awide range of data inputting, administrative duties, and the provision ofadministrative support to the multidisciplinary team.
Duties can include butare not limited to, the read coding information into patients clinical recordsfrom correspondence from other care service providers and other sources on thepractice clinical system, adhering to existing policies and procedures.
Main duties of the job You will be responsible for read-coding data on EMIS Web into the patient records.
You will be required to scan and input documentation to health records as required.
You will regularly answer incoming calls and contact patients to arrange appointments requested by the GP - therefore a good telephone manner is required.
Experience of conflict resolution and difficult situations is beneficial and individuals should be able to display empathy and compassion.
Strong written, oral and IT skills is essential for this role.

Accurately read-coding data on EMIS Web into the patient recordB.
File and store records as requiredC.
Photocopy documentation as requiredD.
Action all incoming emails and mail in a timely mannerE.
Scanning of patient documentation and attaching scanned documents to patients healthcare recordsF.
Input data into the patients healthcare records as necessaryG.
Answer incoming phone calls, transferring calls or dealing with the callers request appropriatelyH.
Carry out system searches as requestedI.
Maintain a clean, tidy, effective working area at all timesJ.
Support all clinical staff with general administrative tasks as requestedK.
Maintain effective security of data at all timesL.
Provide guidance in trouble shooting when requestedM.
Ensure new patient records are received electronically and imported onto the clinical systemN.
Process patient access applications and ensure staff have a full understanding of what is required when patients complete an application request.O.
Code results and upload data as requiredP.
Deal with ambulance requests urgent and non-urgentQ.
Registering PatientsR.
Manage and update the practice website as requiredS.
Complete requests via the website dashboard.T.
Manage all enquires in an effective mannerU.
Process referrals using the electronic referral system (ERS)V. Typing letters, reports and associated documentation as requiredW.
Liaising with external agencies such as hospitals and community services, ensuring referrals are processed efficiently Person Specification Qualifications Essential Educated to GCSE Level or equivalent GCSE grade A to C in English and Maths Desirable NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care Experience Essential Experience of working with the general public Experience of administrative duties Experience of working in a health care setting Desirable Experience of using EMIS Experience of working in a GP Practice
