Job Description
Are you an experienced and creative salesperson brimming with enthusiasm and drive?
We're on the hunt for someone just like you to elevate our sales team and ignite new business opportunities.

As a Media Sales Specialist, you'll be the heartbeat of our client engagement efforts.
Reporting to the Sales & Marketing Manager, you'll interact directly with image buyers, providing stellar customer service that keeps them coming back.
With a strong focus on sales outreach, you'll spearhead initiatives to prospect and secure new business, ensuring our growth trajectory stays on course.

Key responsibilities
Customer Service
Respond promptly and courteously to client enquiries regarding photo licensing, usage rights, pricing, and delivery of high-resolution assets.
Develop strong client relationships and address any concerns to ensure satisfaction.
Outbound sales
Identify and pursue opportunities to generate interest and expand sales with both new and existing clients.
Proactively arrange and conduct Zoom calls, send outreach e-mails, use LinkedIn to connect with potential prospects and attend occasional trade events to meet clients.
Photo Research
Assist clients with image selections and conduct thorough research to identify suitable images for their projects.
Administrative Duties
Maintain and update accurate client records, log quotes, orders, and pipeline sales information, and report progress in weekly sales team meetings.
Social Media & Marketing
Work with the Sales & Marketing Manager to assist in the creation of promotional content, such as social media posts.
Contribute creative marketing ideas during brainstorming sessions.
Required skills, experience, and qualities
We are looking for applicants who can demonstrate a strong mix of relevant sales experience, required skills and personal qualities.

Preferred experience
· Proven track record of successful sales performance, with demonstrated ability to meet sales targets.

· Experience in building and nurturing customer relationships to drive repeat business and customer loyalty.

Experience in picture or footage research.
Degree in relevant discipline.
Knowledge of natural history and an interest in wildlife and nature photography.
Required Skills
· Communication: Excellent written, oral and interpersonal skills, ability to articulate ideas clearly and persuasively.

· Time Management: Excellent organisational, time management and prioritisation skills with the ability to take the initiative and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

· Adaptability: Flexibility to adjust strategies in response to market changes and evolving customer needs.

· Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively within a team to achieve common goals.

· Problem-solving: Ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions quickly and efficiently.

· Visual Acumen: Sharp eye for photography with a strong understanding of selecting relevant and saleable visuals for different clients.

Creative skills, including writing and graphic design, preferably using Adobe Creative Suite.
Learning speed: An ability and enthusiasm for quickly learning new skills and procedures.
Personal qualities
· A proactive self-starter with a knack for identifying and capitalising on sales opportunities.

· An energetic and creative mind, able to demonstrate resilience and composure under pressure.

· Strong self-motivation, the ability to work without close supervision, while also working collaboratively as part of a tight-knit team.

· Friendly and confident when speaking on the telephone, on Zoom calls and during face-to-face meetings.

· Keen attention to detail, able to keep accurate records and ensure quality in all aspects of work.

· Goal-oriented, with a strong drive to meet and exceed sales targets.

Terms and Conditions and staff benefits
This role is a one-year contract, with possibility of extension.

This is a full time 5 day (37.5 hour) a week position.

The salary is £22-26,000 per annum, dependent on skills and experience.

Nature Picture Library employees benefit from 25 days annual leave per year, rising to 30 days over 10 years.

Workplace pension scheme.

The position will initially be office based, in central Bristol.
You will ideally be based in or close to Bristol.
