Walker and Sloan are proud to be working with a media agency in Bath, as they are keen to bring on a Media Account Director to the team on a full time basis .
As a Media Account Director, you will be responsible for managing and developing a roster of media clients, be instrumental in cultivating loyal and trusted business relationships, working with the key client stakeholders and the wider JtD team to ensure we meet their objectives and present innovative and effective strategies, to produce compelling results to grow their business.
You will work closely with the team, evangelizing about media internally and externally, helping to build our industry profile through thought leadership.
Responsibilities Department Support and input into the strategic vision of the JtD team.
Ensure that all figures are accurate and kept up to date.
Be fully aware and comply with Edit IS0 27001 requirements and procedures.
Be familiar and up to date with latest GDPR and data compliance regulations.
Be an evangelist for JtD Client Lead for several accounts being the key contact (internally & externally) for maintaining top class client service.
Plan and buy offline media campaigns (press, inserts, door drop, etc) as per clients' strategies.
Have overall responsibility for account performance, growth, and financials.
Identify trends and pro-actively develop new opportunities, continuously look at ways of increasing margins by pro-actively pushing clients to test new opportunities and initiatives.
Prepare for and attend regular client meetings producing client presentations including campaign results, performance forecasting, manipulation, interpretation, and presentation of results with rationales and recommendations for future planning.
Establish credibility and earn respect by depth of knowledge.
Recommend the new and the different for clients.
Suppliers Develop strong media owner/supplier relationships.
Demonstrate exceptional negotiations skills, including a creative and innovative approach where appropriate.
Develop and maintain exceptional supplier and client relationships, leading the wider media team to do the same.
Leverage supplier relationships to drive new opportunities.
New Business Assist with plan creation for new business opportunities.
Work as part of the pitch team for new business.
Confidently discuss potential cross sell of other areas within Edit and identify new opportunities.
Produce reports, plans, etc for new business/pitches.
Experience and Skills At least 4-5 years' experience of planning and buying offline media (press, inserts, door drop, etc).
Demonstrable project management skills.
Strong and adjustable skills in negotiation.
Excellent communication skills, both in writing and verbally with people at all levels.
Proactive and enthusiastic self-starter.
Confident and engaging presentation skills.
Excellent MS office skills.
Meticulous attention to detail.
A proven ability in using insight (both consumer and numerate) to produce and substantiate media plans.
