Our client based in Northumberland are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join their busy and dynamic maintenance team.
With multiple sites across the region, they specialise in cargo handling and require regular maintenance and repair work on a variety of equipment, including FLT, cranes, and heavy plant machinery.
Responsibilities: Conduct regular maintenance and repair work on cargo handling equipment, including FLT, cranes, and heavy plant machinery Assist with the loading and unloading of cargos as required Learn and operate all aspects of Stevedoring, including the operation of plant and equipment when necessary Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure the smooth operation of the equipment Be flexible in working hours, including shifts and weekends, to meet the needs of the business Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times Essential Requirements: Mechanical Maintenance Fitter with relevant experience Proficient in servicing and repairing cargo handling equipment, including FLT, cranes, and heavy plant machinery Possess a full driving licence Desirable Requirements: Previous experience working in a similar industry or environment Experience operating plant and equipment Additional qualifications in mechanical engineering or related field Technologies: FLT Cranes Heavy plant machinery Benefits & Perks: Competitive salary Bonus and overtime opportunities Private medical scheme Generous pension plan 33 days of annual leave, including statutory days Annual bonus scheme How to Apply: If you are an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Fitter looking to join a dynamic and growing organisation, please submit your CV and cover letter today!
