Key Responsibilities – Mechanical Maintenance Fitter
Your new challenge will be providing effective and efficient planned, preventative and breakdown maintenance to minimise losses to production Ensure the continuous running of the production process by eliminating downtime through a safe and logical approach to fault finding and maintenance of equipment Planned and reactive maintenance to keep downtime to a minimum You'll work with conveyor systems, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and general mechanical fitting Fault-finding to basic welding Leading electrical and instrumentation, repair, and working with s CMMS Diagnosis, resolution, and elimination of root causes of mechanical engineering faults Implementation of minor equipment modifications in support of increased performance Could you complete all scheduled, planned corrective, reactive, and improvement maintenance as assigned?
Contribute to the planning and implementation of allocated annual equipment overhauls.
Qualifications & Requirements – Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
Apprentice trained or NVQ level 3 in a mechanical engineering discipline in maintenance engineering Manufacturing Industry experience, heavy, medium or FMCG environments considered.
Knowledge of conveyor belts, drives, gearboxes couplings general mechanical equipment Knowledge of Hydraulic & Pneumatic systems is essential Routine Preventative Maintenance so an understanding of a PPM schedule Finding and fixing faults quickly and effectively Basic welding and fabrication skills advantageous Fitting, Fabricating and Welding experience preferred A proactive approach to fault finding, a commitment to continuous improvement and personal development What we can offer – Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
